ACDR conducted monthly mediators’ meeting at ACDR on November 14, 2018.
These meetings are conducted monthly to update the mediators, introduce the newly appointed mediators, listen to their recommendations, ideas and the initiatives. The plans for the upcoming months are devised and the mediators are invited to take part in the training workshops conducted by the ACDR, ACCI and the CLDP. During these meeting, the mediators plan the timetable for the next training workshops at the ACDR and other related departments. The purpose of this monthly meeting was to introduce the newly appointed mediators to one another. The newly appointed mediators were also welcomed and shortly briefed about the plans of the ACDR towards mediation in Afghanistan. The training and upcoming meeting timetable and the schedule were discussed with the team. These training workshops are for mediators, arbitrators, lawyers, counselors, students and the business sector. The goals of these training workshops are capacity building as well as public awareness of the ADR mechanism through ACDR.
