The Afghanistan Center for Dispute Resolution (ACDR) and the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Center conducted a five –day long workshop on mediation for young mediators from Saturday, March 28 through Wednesday, April 1, 2015. The workshop, funded by Harakat, was led by one of Europe’s top mediation trainers, Adi Gavrila. The main topics discussed in the training program were:
- The various forms of ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution): negotiation, mediation and arbitration.
- The benefits of mediation.
- Mediation and negotiation strategies and some other related topics.
At the end, Mr. Nasrat Esmaty, the Director of ACDR, oriented the training participants about ACDR while Mr. Eiza Muhammad Madani, ACDR’s Case Manager gave information about the ACDR case management. Mr. Siamuden Pasarly, ACDR’s Communication and Marketing Specialist, gave information about the ACDR communication activities and plans. The workshop ended by distribution of certificates.
