Disputes always arise between parties to a contract. Resolving a dispute through court litigation is not always a choice of the parties. While referring to courts might be a desired option in some cases but not every time when a dispute arises particularly when it is a government contract.

Training for ACDR Arbitrators and Staff

CLDP sponsored a team of 4 arbitrators namely Ms. Freshta Zuhal Rahman, Mr. Zahid Safi, Mr. Abdul Subhan Misbah and Ms. Shahrzad Shamim, and ACDR staff to attend a 1-week training on Arbitration and Effective Case Management of Arbitration Cases in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 24-30 September, 2019.

Seminar on Understanding Arbitration and the Commercial Arbitration Law of 2007

Procurement Law Training

ACDR in cooperation with National Procurement Authority (“NPA”) and National Procurement Institute (“NPI”) held a 2-day training for ACDR Arbitrators and Staff on 18th and 19th September 2019. The training was conducted on Procurement Law and Resolution of Procurement Disputes.

Considering the importance of effective ADR mechanisms for Afghan business community, one of main objectives of ACDR is to institutionalize ADR in Afghanistan.

Arbitration training for National Procurement Authority

Following the Procurement Training by NPI for ACDR on 18th & 19th September, 2019 and conclusion of MoU between ACDR and NPA on 9th October, 2020, Afghanistan Center for Commercial Dispute Resolution (“ACDR”) conducted a 1-day training for the staff of NPA and NPI regarding Arbitration on 16th October 2019.
