Online Training Program: Training Program on Alternative Dispute Resolution by the Asian International Arbitration Center for the Afghanistan Center for Commercial Dispute Resolution

Participants: ACDR staff and employees from Arbitration Center of Sri Lanka, Maldives International Arbitration Center, and Malaysian Center for Commercial Dispute Resolution

On 22-23 June 2020, an online training on alternative dispute resolution program was held by the Asian International Arbitration Center (AIAC) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in partnership with Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) for the staff of Afghanistan Center for Commercial Dispute Resolution (ACDR).

In addition to the staff of ACDR, staff from Arbitration Center of Sri Lanka, Maldives International Arbitration Center, and Malaysian Center for Commercial Dispute Resolution also participated in the training program.

The purpose of the abovementioned training was to provide information on the operation and structure of the AIAC and detailed information on resolving disputes through arbitration, mediation, adjudication, and domain name dispute resolution.

In general, the AIAC provided information on the following topics:

  1. The importance of training programs between dispute resolution centers located in different countries;
  2. Information about AIAC;
  3. Information on the AIAC’s business development;
  4. Arbitration;
  5. Mediation;
  6. Adjudication; and
  7. Domain Name Dispute Resolution.

ACDR is determined to conduct similar trainings with the cooperation of International Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) centers.
